June 29. I said good-bye to my brother.

My brother Rick, 70, passed away on March 28, 2024. He suffered for years from disabling complications from a major stroke in 2008. An avid fisherman, he moved to Portland in 2017 to be close to the Columbia River and its salmon and steelhead. Today we went to Horsetail Falls where I put his ashes into a tributary that feeds
into the Columbia. Maybe his ashes will pass the salmon that return to spawn. Rest in peace.

Finding peace in moving water takes the adventurer to rest in places of the heart…a vision of life that one embraces of memories that surface the longest and remains forever in the forefront…such a meaningful choice of closure…my condolscences to the Mayeda Family…
